Dropshipping Orders with ShipBob

Dropshipping Orders with ShipBob

ShipBob requires unique handling for dropship orders, compared to eCommerce. Each cart or order source will need to be configured to pass the required information. Specifically this needs to include the Carrier Registration ID, Dropshipping Retailer and Shipping Service Tag.

Configuring your Cart for Dropship Orders

Required Parameters

  1. Carrier Registration ID (Provided by ShipBob)

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. In Extensiv Integration Manager, navigate to the Cart Settings for your dropship cart.
  2. In the Cart Settings scroll to the ShipBob WMS Settings section where you will see the Order Type setting.
  3. Select Dropship from the available options for Order Type. This will generate two additional fields in the settings form.

  4. Enter your Carrier Registration ID and Retailer in their associated fields and select OK at the bottom of the page to save your settings.

Carrier Registration ID

The Carrier Registration ID will be provided to you by ShipBob. Each retailer is expected to have a single carrier registration ID which controls what carrier is used to ship the item and what shipping account number it is charged to.

Shipping Service Tag

The shipping service tag will be generated from your order's ship code. ShipBob expects specific values depending on your carrier and registration ID. To guarantee that the ship method is correctly communicated on orders it is advised that you configure ship method mapping for your dropship cart.
