OpenCart Integration Overview

OpenCart is a self-hosted platform. As with all self-hosted platforms, the client is expected to keep their server and application in proper working order. If you do not have the resources or contacts to do so, we recommended using a cloud hosted shopping cart service.

Supported functions

  • Order Download
  • Shipment Confirmation
  • Inventory Sync

Workflow

  1. Extensiv Integration Manager retrieves new orders from OpenCart
  2. Integration Manager delivers orders to WMS/OMS
  3. Integration Manager retrieves shipment tracking and inventory levels from WMS/OMS
  4. Integration Manager delivers shipment tracking and inventory levels to OpenCart. 

Required Parameters

Credentials from OpenCart that need to be entered in Integration Manager. The setup guide will explain how to request/obtain these:

  • Store URL
  • API Key

Important Integration Notes

Before setting up this connection to OpenCart, please review these important notes to ensure the integration is successful:

OpenCart version 2.1 through 2.3 supported.

OpenCart 3 not yet supported
OpenCart 3 is not yet supported by Integration Manager. Several OpenCart bugs were identified when Integration Manager attempted to add support for OpenCart 3. Once OpenCart 3 is more stable, we will look into supporting it again.
Maintenance Mode

Integration Manager is unable to communicate with OpenCart when it is in Maintenance mode. You must disable it in order for us to pull orders or test the connection.
